The Meaning of a Voyage Goes Beyond Arrival | Azimut Magellano 27M

Time: 2026-06-15
Not long ago, a long‑range yacht was all about numbers – range, speed, performance. Today, more and more owners are thinking about something else entirely. How do you actually live on the water?

The very idea of a voyage is shifting.

It used to be about how far you could go, how fast, how capable.

Now, the question is simpler – and harder: what does life at sea really feel like?

Azimut's Magellano series has been asking that question from the very start.

Now, with the Magellano 27M – the third chapter of the series – they've taken it further. This isn't just a yacht that crosses oceans. It's one that redefines what a voyager can be. Not just a destination, but a new way of being at sea.

A Dialogue Between Nature and Architecture

The exterior comes from Finnish designer Jarkko Jämsén. The interiors are the work of Michele De Lucchi and his AMDL CIRCLE team – one of the most respected names in international architecture.

But this doesn't feel like a typical yacht. It feels more like a piece of architecture, floating.

The lines are fluid, sculptural, always changing with the light and the sea.

Large side windows, a low, sweeping profile, and soft proportions make the yacht look like it belongs to the ocean, not just sits on it.

As the designer himself puts it: 'Magellano 27M is a work of art that lives in nature.'

Loggia : A New Kind of Space, Between Sea and Life

If there's one feature that defines the Magellano 27M, it's the Loggia.

The word comes from Italian architecture – a covered balcony, a space that's neither fully inside nor fully outside.

A place where you feel the breeze and the sun, but still have the comfort of shelter.

On this yacht, that idea is brought to life for the first time in a complete way.

The main deck becomes a floating Loggia. Floor‑to‑ceiling glass opens the interior to the sky. Wood runs through the whole space, inspired by Mediterranean courtyards and old Italian loggias.

Slide the doors open, and the lines blur – salon, dining area, ocean, all one space. The wind moves through. The sunlight lands on the wood. The seascape becomes part of the room.

This isn't just clever design. It's a different way of living on the water.

Nordic Clarity, Italian Warmth

The Magellano 27M is also a conversation between two cultures.

Outside, you feel the Nordic influence – clean, restrained, almost poetic in its handling of light and shadow. The proportions are simple. The lines are pure. It's instantly recognisable.

Inside, it's all Italian warmth.

Natural woods, soft tones, textures that invite you to touch them. It's comfortable, layered, alive.

No flashy displays of wealth. Just an elegance that settles in and stays with you.

Voyager – Not Just About Distance

Azimut calls the Magellano series 'Voyager.' But on the 27M, that word has grown bigger.

It's no longer just about going far. It's a state of mind. A way of exploring. A way of staying connected to the sea.

And in a world that never stops moving, it's also a way of slowing down – of feeling time pass differently.

Imagine waking up to the first light coming through the Loggia. Imagine the sea spreading out beyond the glass, endless and quiet. The destination no longer matters as much. The journey itself is the point.

A New Kind of Voyage, A New Kind of Life

For Azimut, the Magellano 27M isn't just another superyacht.

It's a floating piece of architecture. A home on the water that brings together nature, design, and everyday life.

It turns long‑range cruising into something richer – no longer just moving from port to port, but savouring every mile along the way.

Maybe that's what it really means to be a Voyager today.
